Communion Meditation for the Sixth Sunday after Pentecost

This table that we are gathered around is laden with gifts from God!

We have received these gifts through our inheritance.  God loved us so much that Jesus Christ, our Lord’s only son was sacrificed for us.  We have on this table the loaf, and the wine which represent and become the flesh and blood of Jesus broken and spilled for us.

Because of these gifts, we are allowed to peer through our sinful nature to view a glimpse of that Glory that is present here.  As we take these gifts into our bodies, may we be nurtured to a new life of sharing and love toward humanity.

We broke the body, we spilled the blood, but God makes it whole in us as we partake
