Morning Prayer for the Twelfth Sunday after Pentecost B 2009

O Lord, give us a realization of your great creation.  We look at the mountains, valleys, the rivers and the plains.  The tumult of vast oceans, the beauty of lakes and streams … all of this fills us with awe.  Help us to not take for granted of all that has been put into our hands to care for and benefit from.  But we know that none of this comes close in comparison with your Son walking among us, showing us the way to our own  salvation.  Guide us and bless us as we worship.  Give us a deeper understanding of you and what you have given us. Amen.
