Based upon James 2:1-17

Gracious God, we are the sheep of your pastures.  We each receive an equal measure of your love and care.  You sustain us with the bounty of your creation.  Your grace is showered upon us as we struggle to find our way in the life you have us lead.  Help us to grasp an idea of how deep you unconditional love goes as it supports us in our lives both materially and spiritually.  In our relationships within the community in which we live, help us to be able to act out the ways you have set out in example.  Help us to love our neighbors with no regard for favoritism.  Help us not to ignore the needy and the destitute just because we can.  Help us to assist the unemployed with new hope and encouragement.  Strengthen our resolve to be better at doing your bidding.  Amen
