The Loaf

O God, as we prepare for the taking of this bread, open our minds to the possibilities presented.  This life in Christ can be ours, ours for the taking.  Let us realize the freedom it gives us to not only be a part of you, but to represent you everywhere we go.  Renew a commitment in us to be worthy of that freedom.  We pray in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

 The Wine

Dear Lord, we ponder the life of Jesus.  His teachings have revolutionized humanity.  They have made us humble before you.  The life giving blood that flowed though his body was only a token of the Spiritual strength it contained.  We yearn for the renewal the example and challenge Jesus made to us in his life here on this planet.  We are told it can be a part of us, if we but partake in the life He gave.  Give us the faith to take this Wine that represents that Life and drink of it.  It the name of our Lord and Savior, amen.
