Based upon James 3:1-12
The Loaf
New hope is born, Oh Lord, by the freedom we have gained form sin. It is a freedom that comes from the Resurrection. When Jesus rose from the dead, we were released from the bondage of death. By dying on the cross as a result of humanity’s hate and fear, and then rising from the dead, Jesus has allowed us a new way of life — A life that will never end. As we take this bread that signifies the brokenness of our world, let us be renewed with this gift of hope. Amen.
The Wine
New life flows through our veins dear God, because of the gift of death and resurrection on the cross. Jesus gave his life so that we might be resurrected with him into eternal life. As Jesus returned to be with his disciples, we too will return to be with God. As we take this wine into our bodies, take us into you and give new purpose for our lives. Amen.
