Communion Meditation for the Ninth Sunday after Pentecost B 2009

Based upon John 6:24-35

As we survey the feast that is on this table, one will quickly notice that there is not much here for your stomach.  The food that is on this table is an outward reminder of a different kind of nourishment.  This nourishment is truly the food of life of which Jesus spoke.  In this manner, we are participating in a true feast of the Spirit.  It fills us with the power and strength we need to face our lives with conviction and determination.  It gives us true life.
