Oh Lord, our God, please accept this money from our pockets given for the work of your Kingdom.
Now, in this worship service, we have the privilege to keep most of that money to feed our families and provide for our households. God only asks that you share a portion of it with his church.
“I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” This gift is most precious to us and we cherish it. It feeds us with the true food.
The food that is on this table is an outward reminder of a different kind of nourishment. This nourishment is truly the food of life of which Jesus spoke.
People: We hunger not just for food that nourishes our bodies, but for food that nourishes our souls.
God gave God’s only Son so that we might have even more than his glory. We because of God’s love and grace, we have eternal life.
