People:  We stand in awe in this sanctuary where previous generations have worshipped.

Leader:  They inherited forgiveness for their trespasses so that they could stand blameless before the Lord.

People:  We too come before our Lord in this place to humbly receive our inheritance through the grace Jesus has given us.

Leader:  God receives you in the name of the Son who was crucified and resurrected.

People:  We recognize our trespasses and humbly ask for God’s forgiveness.
